Why Take This Test?
Many have wondered why some people live with HIV for years while others diagnosed as HIV+ escalate into AIDS at warp speed. A variety of factors may be responsible. Thankfully, the medical community has uncovered one answer: It is in your genes. Specifically CCR5-Delta 32 and CCR2-64I genes. A study, published in the Annals of Internal Medicine1, where over 4,000 individuals were genotyped found that the genetic variations CCR5-Delta 32 and CCR2-64I correlated with a lowered risk of progressing to AIDS.
Enter HIVmirror™, a new test designed specifically to uncover if you have one of these two genes in your DNA. HIVmirror™ was created based on the results of National Institute of Health-funded research studies. Now the same test done in those studies is available to you through HIVmirror™.
Top 3 Reasons To Take The HIVmirror™ Test
- Peace of Mind - You could have the genes that may slow HIV progression. The more you know, the better you and your doctor can understand your HIV+ status. Think of how you felt when you finally found about your HIV status. Now imagine digging deeper to learn greater insight about your body. That is what HIVmirror™ provides.
- You could be a part of that 20% - There's a 1 in 5 chance that most people will have one of the mutations that have been shown to slow HIV progression!* Learn the stats: Based on research studies of over 4,000 people, the CCR2-64I and the CCR5-Delta 32 gene can be found in the following demographics.

Testing Your DNA for CCR5 Delta 32 and CCR2-64I Genes
HIVmirror™ tells you what studies funded by the National Institute of Health (NIH) say about your genetic code (DNA) and HIV progression.1
- We test your DNA for the CCR5-Delta 32 gene and the CCR2-64I gene
- The test is 99.999% accurate and we test your DNA twice for additional accuracy
- HIVmirror™ is based on the results of NIH funded research studies
- Our genetic test uses saliva and not blood for your convenience
- It is the same type of genetic test laboratories, hospitals, and scientists use but offered
- direct-to-you so that it is affordable and completely confidential
